It's almost June, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year...

About this time, the beginning of summer, I start thinking about the various Christmas crafts I need to embark upon. You see, it's only 7 months away. I don't know yet what I will be making, but I always make something that friends may want to buy for other friends - things that you won't necessarily find in a store and things that have some love and handicraft to them. It's definitely not a money making enterprise, it's just something I love to do for people I care about.
This year, I will be making New Year's Hats because there is a definite lack of good hats available. I refuse to wear a silly paper hat made out of shiny cardboard. So, the first hat out of the box (ha) is this little fascinator. I think it's cute and elegant.... I have had new inspiration of late for some sculptural hats (thank you william and kate for having such fun hat wearing guests) so I will be working on those. Of course, I'm not going to go crazy - these are party hats and affordability will be key which means me not spending hours and hours on them. I'm thinking about a workshop at my home for New Year's Party Hat making, stay tuned for more info. I'll probably have it in December.
